The result is the 642 S Competition.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt uses a single compression-damping valve that can be adjusted by hand. This simplifies adjustment while still meeting the needs of the motorcycle and rider. The High Flow compression valve increases oil flow, allowing the shock to respond sensitively without significantly restricting its adjustment range. A large external reservoir helps cool the damping oil under demanding conditions and maintain consistent damping performance.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe standard version uses proven Wilbers technology, with continuously adjustable spring preload operated by a hook spanner and hand-adjustable rebound damping with 22 clicks. Additional options, including hydraulic spring-preload adjustment, are available through the configurator.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 642 S Competition is designed for long journeys on demanding roads, off-road use and spirited riding on country roads. Each shock is individually set up using the rider’s information to suit rider weight and load.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe shock comes with a five-year warranty. Its German ABE operating approval normally removes the need to have the modification entered in the vehicle’s registration documents.
